100% Merlot. Aged 18 months in new French oak.
Gorgeous deep red colour. It has a rich bouquet reminiscent of raspberry and blackberry. Hints of crushed espresso coffee bean, chocolate and a rustic note of carob seed emerge further with ageing. Velvety, well-balanced body, with mellow, polished tannins. It reveals an elegant and intriguing side with more mixed spice and fruit energy than you might find in Merlot from more southern parts in Italy.
Its balanced flavour makes it ideal with most meat, game, roast suckling pig and mature cheeses.
