Mocali

The Mocali Estate is in a setting of natural Tuscan beauty, where vineyards and olive groves alternate with oak and pine forests. It was established in the 1950s by Dino Ciacci, who was one of the twenty-five founders of the Consortium of Brunello di Montalcino. He was succeeded by his nephew Tiziano Ciacci who is its present owner.

Situated to the southwest of Montalcino at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level on the slopes facing Castiglione del Bosco, the Mocali estate is comprised of 32 hectares. There are four hectares of Sangiovese Grosso used to produce its prestigious Brunello di Montalcino.The soils are rich in minerals of marl and limestone with sand and clay.


Mocali wines continually receive excellent reviews from respected International wine critics and publications such as Robert Parker, James Suckling, Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and Wine Enthusiast as well as awards in Gambero Rosso and Bibenda Italian wine guides.
