- About The Producer
Piana dei Castelli was founded by Matteo Ceracchi, from a family of winemakers that goes back 20 generations.
Located in Velletri (south of Rome), it has extremely rich soils, microclimatic areas and diverse exposure and offers ideal conditions for the production of wines with marked individuality and personality. Matteo’s philosophy is to respect the cycle of life, its rhythms, the forces of nature and traditions. It is with this spirit that he practices organic and biodynamic winemaking tending to his grapes with delicate techniques in order to produce wines, which express and exalt the peculiarities of the grapes and terroir. The wines are made without any chemical products, are unfiltered and unclarified and only indigenous yeasts are used.
