Ruby red with glimmers of garnet-red. Bouquet of cherry, blackberry and strawberries accompanied with floral notes of rose and violet and a slight hint of white pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Perfect balance between the vitality of the tannins and the acidity compensated with warm notes from the alcohol and a slight almond finish.
Pinot Nero shows great versatility to enliven a wide array of dishes from simple starters and rich and earthy salad, to pasta dishes and fattier fish such as smoked salmon, as well as white or red meat dishes.

2015 Bosco Agostino Barolo La Serra DOCG$109.90
100% Nebbiolo. An historical Cru of La Morra. The vineyard faces southeast at an altitude of about 400 metres and the soils are tuffaceous and calcareous providing this wine with structure and tannins suitable for long aging. Complex bouquets of berry jam and brandied cherries, with detectable spicy notes.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °C. Maceration lasts 20-22 days. After racking, the wine is held at about 20°C for malolactic fermentation to take place. The wine is then placed in barriques and tonneaux for about 6-7 months before transferral to 200 litre Slavonian oak casks to age 23-24 months. At the end of this period, it is bottled in August and released the following March.
A classic style Barolo.
2015 Bosco Agostino Barolo Neirane DOCG$94.60
100% Nebbiolo. A Cru of Verduno, bordering with La Morra. Southwest facing vineyard at an altitude of about 350 metres. Loose and sandy soils confer floral sensations of violet and red fruit, together with a distinct elegance.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. Maceration lasts 20-22 days. Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara grapes dried on straw mats from October – January. Aged in oak barriques for a minimum of 3 years.
Deep ruby red tending to garnet. Intense with distinct aromas of dark and wild cherry jam followed by hints of dried rose, hot spices and bitter chocolate. An explosion of flavours will wind the palate with layers of baked fruit, tobacco and spice. Warm, velvety, rich and slightly astringent. Well balanced.
Recommended with braised beef, stewed venison, aged cheeses. A magnificent after dinner companion.

100% Schioppettino. Matures in stainless steel tanks and barrels for around 8 months. Aged for a further few months in the bottle. Ruby red tending towards purple. Typical berry fragrance especially of raspberry and bilberry. Intense, acerbic palate.
Excellent with typical Friuli dishes, game and mature cheeses.

100% Cabernet Franc. Matures in stainless steel tanks and used barrels for approx. 8 months. Aged further in the bottle for several months before sale.
In the Friuli region this noble French grape variety has found its ideal microclimate in which to best express its characteristic features. Its ruby red to purplish colour and grassy aromas render it quite unique. As the wine ages, its characteristic fruity and spicy tones – green pepper and nutmeg come to the fore. Austere, assertive body, with pleasing tannins.
Perfect with grilled meat, roasts, flavourful dishes and mature cheeses, which exalt its full, powerful flavour.

Deep ruby red colour. Well-rounded, robust fragrance, with notes reminiscent of black cherry and raspberry. Full-bodied flavour, which improves significantly as the wine ages, acquiring pleasant, peppery overtones, structured, sapid and fruity.
Perfect partner for a wide range of dishes, particularly cured, roasted and grilled meats.

100% Merlot. Aged 18 months in new French oak.
Gorgeous deep red colour. Rich fragrance reminiscent of raspberry and blackberry. Hints of crushed espresso coffee bean, chocolate and a rustic note of carob seed emerge further with ageing. Velvety, well-balanced body, with mellow, polished tannins. It reveals an elegant and intriguing side with more mixed spice and fruit energy than you might find in Merlot from more southern points in Italy.
Its balanced flavour makes it ideal with most meat, game, roast suckling pig and mature cheeses.

80% Sangiovese 20% Syrah grapes from vineyards in the hills of Castagneto Carducci (Bolgheri) that run along the Tuscan coastline. Made without correctives or additives, which would alter the original characteristics of the grapes. On lees for 9 months in small French oak barrels (only 10% new).
Deep purplish colour with predominant scent of black fruit, black cherry and plum, brightened up by a pleasant hint of spice. Rich and balanced tannins, with a lovely freshness.
A very versatile wine: it pairs well with cold cuts, medium or aged cheeses, pizza, pasta with spicy or tomato based sauces, roast duck, roast or grilled meats and game.

Named after the “Jassarte” River, which according to the ancient historian Herodotus was the physical border between Europe and Asia.
This wine is a blend of 30 different Mediterranean and Caucasian grapes such as Syrah, Tempranillo, Graciano, Grenache, Mouvedre, Agiogitiko, Babic, Sagrantino, Montepulciano, Alicante, Sapervai, Alexandruli grapes from selected vineyard parcels in the hills of Castagneto Carducci in Bolgheri that run along the Tuscan coastline. Made without correctives or additives that would alter the original characteristics of the grapes. Refined on lees for 24 months in small French oak barrels (only 10% new) and at least 12 months in the bottle.
Ruby red, very elegant nose with various balsamic, red fruit and spicy notes, which open up, more and more as the wine, stays in the glass. Fresh, well balanced with a long finish. An extremely interesting, multilayered wine. Exceptional as a “meditation wine”. Pairs perfectly with meat, roasted or grilled poultry, soups, slightly spicy dishes and ripened cheese. Medium-long ageing potential.
