Filippa - Donnalucata in the province of Ragusa, on sandy calcareous-tufaceous soils.

Maturation and ageing:
18 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes:
Colour: deep ruby red.
Aroma: multiple and complex aromas with prevalent notes of mulberry, sour black cherry, plum with final balsamic and spicy notes.
Taste: soft, savoury, full-bodied yet elegant and well balanced by strong and persistent tannins.

Suggested pairings:
Excellent with mature cheeses, red meat and beef "tagliata".

Serve at a temperature of 20-22° C. It can be uncorked just before serving, although the flavours are enhanced by being left to breathe for a few hours.
