Wine name:
Friulano - Colli Orientali Friuli D.O.C. - Vigna Traverso

Classification:
Dry white wine

Alcohol content:
14% Vol

Grape variety:
100% Friulano (previously known as Tocai).

Area of origin:
Vineyards in the Municipality of Prepotto, in the province of Udine (Friuli) at an altitude of 160m facing east, on a soil rich in marl, potassium and microelements, with a balanced proportion of clay and fossil.

Harvesting:
The vines grow best in hilly areas, and the Colli Orientali is perfect, due to its particularly suitable geological and climatic conditions. The grapes are harvested by hand into crates at two different times: one part at the beginning of September and the remainder 10 days later.

Vinification:
Soft pressing of the whole grape. A part is also macerated for a few hours. The must is subjected to cold settling and fermented at a controlled temperature. Fine yeast contact until March. Bottled the following spring.

Tasting notes:
Colour: straw-yellow with green nuances.
Aroma: bouquet of passionfruit, bitter almonds, sage and elderflower.
Taste: crisp, dry, soft, full, rounded and harmonious. Long persistence in the mouth.

Suggested pairings:
Excellent with finger food, antipasti / starters, fish and white meat. Superb as an aperitif and unbeatable with prosciutto. A classic "convivial" wine.

Serve at a temperature of 10-12° C.
